Eau Claire Fastpitch presents
52nd Annual Eau Claire Fastpitch Classic
June 22-June 24, 2018
Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Wisconsin’s premier girls softball tournament will be held on June 22nd to June 24th 2018 in Eau Claire.
Our tournament has prided itself on excellent competition and being a regional draw for teams from all over the Midwest. Why is this such a popular destination tournament for so many teams every year? We stay on schedule, the facilities are excellent, and the competition is always good.
Each year we look at what we do, how we do it and what can we do better to make each teams experience a positive experience regardless of the game scores.
Tournament notes: This year’s tournament is planned to have 60 teams. We will have 3 different sites all within an easy drive of each other. 12U, 14U and 16U will have 16 teams and 10U will have 8 teams . There will be no favoritism for team registrations, we will accept registrations on a first come first serve basis and we expect the tournament to be filled by March. So be sure to submit your forms and fees as quickly as possible. Registrations without payment will not be accepted. Also any team that cancels after June 1 will forfeit its registration monies so be sure that your team is ready to participate before committing. In 2018 there will be no 18U tournament.
Concessions: Will be handled by the Eau Claire Fury at all park locations so you can expect reasonable pricing and good selection. Please remember that this tournament serves as a fundraiser for the Eau Claire Fury and we are working hard at finishing our Jeffers Park home including lights. Carry in’s are prohibited and alcohol is strictly prohibited from both North High School and University Fields.
Umpire crews: All games at all ages will have two umpires
Good Sportsmanship: Is law at our tournament, not a guideline. Teams and or individuals will be asked to leave if they do not display good sportsmanship. Arguing calls, field changes, harassing umpires or tournament officials will get you thrown out. Remember that while this is a competitive game don’t set a bad example in front of your kids or fans. Mistakes happen and it’s a part of life. Our umpires are paid but the rest of the staff is strictly volunteer
Tournament Rosters: All rosters with player names and information will be due by Monday June 11.
When you arrive at the Park: When you arrive at your assigned park, please report to the Registration Table.
Directions: Teams will be playing at Carson Park, University Fields, North High School, and Jeffers Rd. All directions will be available at our website www.eauclairefastpitch.com
Tournament Format: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U Pool Play will determine seeding. Tournament Director reserves the right to seed teams based upon previously submitted level of play information and based upon number of entries within each age group.
Teams will go into Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions where applicable. There will be 2 umpires for all games.
First, second, and third place medals will be awarded in Gold, Silver and Bronze Brackets (if applicable) in the 10, 12, 14, 16U Divisions.
There is a five game guarantee for all medal and age groups. 3 pool 2 bracket.
We do have limited bleacher seating, so we do recommend bringing your own chairs. The dugouts at University Fields are not covered. You may want to bring tents or tarps.
Finally, our entry fees are the same as last year at $425 for all levels and that gets you 2 umpires for all games and all levels
